How I woke up
Four months ago, the only time I had ever heard the term “Illuminati” was in a Dan Brown book, I believed our government was in charge of creating the money supply, and I thought terrorists in planes brought down the Twin Towers.
Of course I knew about “conspiracy theorists”, but I payed them no mind. I didn’t think very objectively about things, if I bothered to think about them at all. I knew some people thought 9/11 was an inside job- but I never investigated myself. I just accepted the explanation the news stations and the government officials gave everyone.
But last September was the 10 year anniversary of the attacks and everyone was making a very big deal of it. It was all over the news, all over my Facebook and very hard to ignore. Most of it was people recalling how horrible it was and how they felt that day, or people paying tribute to the troops, or people commenting on how evil the terrorists were and how could they do such a thing? But interspersed among all of that were a few remarks along the lines of “10 years of lies”. And so ten years later and now 21 years of age, those were the ones that finally caught my eye and peaked my interest.
For the first time I was fascinated with the idea that perhaps 9/11 really was an inside job. And so I started watching YouTube videos explaining the 9/11 conspiracy theory. That “suggested videos” bar on the right side of the screen kept me busy for hours that day. I got deeper and deeper into it. I started to branch away from 9/11 into other topics. I was hooked at this point with a sick feeling in my stomach. I had woken up.
I’m not going to get into discussing specific conspiracy topics in this post, that’s not the point here. I merely wanted to tell about my own personal experience and hopefully get others to wake up as well.
I’ve found you can’t just berate people with your opinion and expect them to agree with you. You can’t force people to be interested in something. You need to spark their interest make them ask the questions. So, I’m hoping reading this will wake you up in the same way I was woken up four months ago. Here’s a video to get you started. Watch it and really fucking think about it. Use your common sense. Abandon what George Bush and the News told you. It’s absurdly clear that the buildings were demolished purposely. So who did it and why?
